Sony has been notably quiet about its plans, especially with E3 2023 coming this year and the majority of companies hosting showcases or participating in Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest in June. It is probable, though, that it will be getting ready to reveal more products from its as-of-yet unannounced PlayStation Showcase in May or June.
Tom Henderson, the owner of Insider Gaming previously claimed that Sony is focusing on the development of the PS6 over a mid-cycle upgrade, however, it has now been revealed that the company is working on a PS5 Pro.
Henderson reportedly claims that Sony has more, as-yet-unannounced hardware in the development and that it is absolutely not the PS5 Pro.
Undoubtedly, fans are attempting to decode the information and attempting to understand what all of this could mean.
Sony is keen on introducing a new handheld game console. Sony already made two efforts to take on Nintendo in the market for handheld consoles. Throughout its first ten years, the PlayStation Portable sold more than 80 million copies, which was a creditable performance. However, its successor, the PlayStation Vita, didn’t sell all that well.
