Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was one of the most loved games in the installment of the popular Call of Duty series. The first version of the game was released in November 2015, it is the third game in the Black Ops series and a sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops II. This game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The gameplay of Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is very similar to the previous installments in the series. However, there have been some changes to the gameplay that you will notice when you play this new version.
These changes make the game more challenging and enjoyable. In addition to the core gameplay changes, there are also a variety of features that have been added to the game to make it even more engaging. These include new weapons, characters, maps, and other features. All these changes make this version of the game one of the best versions yet.

According to a recent leak for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, the creators considered an open-world campaign experience for the game before its release. However, the plan was later canceled.
This seems to be a major setback for Call of Duty fans. A campaign like this in Call of Duty is a long-held ambition for many members of the community, and it was planned long before the leaks became public. If the given information is true then the gamers will spend heart and bucks on the game. Cause an open-world experience in the campaign mode has always been a dream of Call of Duty fans.
Today knowing that the project is canceled left the fans heartbroken. The above information was broken by a Reddit user u/purpletoaster and it took the world swiftly as all the major gaming media houses seem to cover the topic. What is more interesting are the proofs provided by the user. The proof consists of leaked images and in the images, it is clearly visible that the maps of the open world were being made, which is so far very believable. It would be safe to say that the creators of the game were trying to give a new experience to their fan base.
The Call of Duty open-world campaign was designed to be a “hub world” experience, according to the Post’s creator. This signifies that a big region has been split into sections. The interconnected hubs would allow players to go from one enormous region to another. Every section of the map would have its own set of quests and objectives, with players slaying monsters and completing missions.
According to the user, “Keep in mind these are early prototype images, so the environments are still in blockout (although some such as the Hilltop area seem far more detailed). This version of BO3’s campaign was worked on for a bit over a year, pretty much all of 2013, before being scrapped entirely in early-mid 2014 with the current vision of the campaign. Interestingly, some of the locations (such as all of the Singapore hub world locations) would be reimagined as missions in the actual BO3 campaign; albeit likely remade from scratch.”
Lots of information from the open-world setting, which was eventually canceled midway through production, is exposed in the images:
- Several huge maps with places of interest on them.
- There are several mini-modes to choose from, including sabotage, defense, assassinations, and retrieval.
- There would have been day/night and weather cycles.
- Construction mechanics and economics.
As a Call of Duty fan, if this really comes out to be true, and in the future, if we see anything like that then it would be a dream experience. Not only this but it will give the players a new kind of experience they never had while playing Call of Duty. Well, it is hard to say what’s going on inside the creator’s mind but they are very well aware of what and what not to give to the audience.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is unquestionably one of the most popular entries in the Black Ops series. The game is a direct sequel to the 2012 title Black Ops. The game has a ton of material, including a futuristic campaign, multiplayer, and zombie mode. The storyline left the fans with a lot of emotions and memories.
